An Engineer's Tale

Mr. Abdullah Nazir is a Structural Engineer and BIM Specialist — CEO & Founder of Defteng Private Limited. With over eight years in the field, he has led structural engineering and Building Information Modelling projects across Pakistan, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Belgium, and beyond.

Born on 3rd March 1999 in Faisalabad, Abdullah grew up in a middle-class family with deep roots in craft and discipline. His father, Nazir Ahmad — a mason of strong character and Islamic values — migrated from Amritsar, India, and built a life on honesty and hard work. From childhood, Abdullah was fond of painting and calligraphy; he made his first sketch at age 7 and was awarded first place in a calligraphy competition. His elder brother was an engineer, and his father's life in construction planted an early dream of building structures that last.

"Childhood slips away, lost before its destined time, beauty fades too soon."

On 16th December 2016, Abdullah's father passed away after a prolonged illness. Faced with the full weight of family responsibility, Abdullah experienced severe financial, social, and emotional adversity during his college years. He failed, he struggled, and every person around him advised him to stop — but he persisted. He rebuilt his academic performance and graduated from Civil Engineering Technology with a prestigious position, earning his degree not by ease but by character.

As a structural engineering expert, Mr. Abdullah has handled projects of diverse scales — from residential architecture to large-span industrial structures. He has independently designed 75+ houses in Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand, produced over 1,500 engineering drawings for international clients, and delivered 35+ structural BIM modeling projects for firms across the United States, Belgium, and globally. His commitment to precision, safety, and cost-effectiveness defines every engagement.

Beyond engineering practice, Abdullah is an entrepreneur committed to bringing innovation at scale. He founded Defteng Private Limited for structural and BIM services, and Wysight Inc. for web and brand development. He also founded Alibadah Foundation — a charity collecting donations for underprivileged communities — and currently serves as Inclusion Officer for the Global Shapers Faisalabad Hub, a World Economic Forum community of young leaders.

Abdullah Nazir aims to see innovation, education, simplicity, and community service as defining characteristics of the future. Taking Islamic values as a guiding principle in both business and life, he believes that purpose, consistency, and integrity are the true foundations of lasting impact. His story is a potent reminder: failures and challenges do not define a person — with enough willpower, any barrier can be surpassed.
